About the Expert

Shauna M. Birdsall, ND, FABNO,  is the Vice Chief of Staff and Director of Naturopathic Medicine at Western Regional Medical Center. She provides clinical oversight to the naturopathic physicians, has programmatic responsibility for the department, and provides patient care in an integrative team based environment. Dr. Birdsall earned a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 2000. She is board certified in Naturopathic Oncology and is a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology. Dr. Birdsall collaborates with other CTCA clinicians to provide integrative cancer care. Her focus is on the safe and effective use of natural therapies to help with side effects of conventional treatment, improve quality of life, and prevent herb-drug-nutrient interactions.
