About the Expert

Lucas Tims, ND, FABNO, is a naturopathic physician practicing integrative oncology at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Western Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. At CTCA, Tims works as part of a multidisciplinary team providing integrative care for patients with cancer. His focus is on malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract, including esophageal, pancreatic, and colon cancers. Tims received his bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Arkansas before moving to Arizona to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine. In 2010, he earned his doctor of naturopathic medicine degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. He was then accepted into a highly competitive naturopathic oncology residency at CTCA in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he spent 2 years immersed in the unique, integrative model that CTCA offers. Tims is a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology and a member of many national and international groups, including the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Society for Integrative Oncology.
