Marcia Prenguber

Marcia Prenguber, ND, FABNO, is the Director of the School of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport. In addition to her leadership role in the academic and clinical aspect of the program, she see patients in the student clinic, teaching and guiding the care of patients with oncologic diagnoses. Prior to this role, she was the Director of Integrative Care at the Center for Cancer Care in the Goshen Health System. She practices naturopathic oncology in that setting, serves as the director of the naturopathic oncology residency program. She is past president of the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME), and served on the board and continue to work as a Clinical Working Group Co-Chair for the Academic Consortium of Integrative Healthcare (ACIH), working with a network of national complementary and alternative medicine educational organizations and agencies to promote interdisciplinary health care education. Prenguber was a founding member of the Naturopathic Post Graduate Association (NPGA), assisted in the transition of the application and match processes to the AANMC, and continues to serve the residency committee of the AANMC. She was named the 2008 Naturopathic Physician of the Year by the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). She is a graduate of National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland OR, Johns Hopkins University, California State College - Fullerton, and the University of St. Joseph, who recognized her as a Distinguished Alumna in 2017.
