Integrative Therapeutics Announces 2014-2015 STAIR Integrative Residency Winners

Integrative Therapeutics® is pleased to announce the winners of the 2014-2015 STAIR Integrative Residency Program. The STAIR Integrative Residency Program offers a unique opportunity for both new naturopathic graduates and integrative medical practices. A qualified naturopathic graduate is matched with a successful integrative practice for a yearlong residency, fully funded by Integrative Therapeutics.
Integrative Therapeutics® is pleased to announce the winners of the 2014-2015 STAIRSM Integrative Residency Program. 
 
The STAIR Integrative Residency Program offers a unique opportunity for both new naturopathic graduates and integrative medical practices. A qualified naturopathic graduate is matched with a successful integrative practice for a yearlong residency, fully funded by Integrative Therapeutics.
 
The 2014-2015 STAIR Residency winners, starting their residencies in October, are Janet Opila-Lehman and Carmel Ferreira.
 
Janet Opila-Lehman earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University, Kenmore, Washington, and will be joining the team at Wholeness Center, Ft Collins, Colorado, for her residency. She brings a wealth of experience working with families and children with special needs from her previous careers as an occupational and massage therapist and founder of the Finger Lakes Wellness Center, Bath, New York, and Wellness GIFTS, a nonprofit organization that offers retreats to families with kids with special needs. 
 
At Wholeness Center, Opila-Lehman will receive mentorship from Mary Rondeau, ND, RH (AHG), who maintains a general family practice with an emphasis on mental health. Opila-Lehman will also spend time practicing under the guidance of Scott Shannon, MD, ABIHM, who has been instrumental in the creation of a holistic and integrative perspective in psychiatry for well over a decade.
 
Carmel Ferreira earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Tempe, Arizona, and will fulfill her residency at Diamond Springs Wellness Center, Midway, Utah. She is also a licensed acupuncturist and received her master’s degree at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture, Arizona, and received her bachelor’s of science degree in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in her home state.  
 
Diamond Springs Wellness Center offers practice under Tineke Malus, ND, who has received advanced training in antiaging and restorative medicine including bioidentical hormone replacement. Ferreira will practice in partnership with Judith Moore, DO, who is board certified in family practice and holistic and integrative medicine and will offer the opportunity to learn about her role as medical director at Diamond Springs Wellness Center.
